Flooring is sold by box/bundle. No partial or fractional boxes/bundles are sold. Customer will be charged for actual footage shipped. Customer is responsible for all measurement quantities. District Floor Depot is not liable for measurement errors.
Delivery dates are estimates. DFD cannot guarantee specific timetables. Customer should not schedule installation until product is received at the place of install. Claims for shortages or damages must be made upon product receipt. Customer should retain mill code information from box.
We design our samples to accurately represent the finished product. However, wood is a product of nature, and due to the natural characteristics of each plank, no two pieces are alike. Therefore, the finished product may contain more or less variation in color, knots, distressing, grains, or shading, which may not be reflected in a given sample. Samples or pictures of hardwood, vinyl, or laminate may not match in character, tone or graining of actual material received.
Customer is responsible for final inspection as to grade, color, finish, defects and other quality issues. Do not install defective product. Use constitutes acceptance. Installation must be performed in accordance with instructions and industry standard NWFA. Per instructions, flooring must fully acclimate in installation area (approximately 3-14 days). Customer is solely responsible for checking moisture levels in product and subfloor prior to installing. DFD recommends using a licensed, professional flooring installer. Although DFD may recommend products, Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that products are appropriate for and compatible with jobsite conditions. DFD is not liable for damages resulting from errors, misuse or negligence by Customer/installer. Unless contracted directly with DFD, DFD does not install product and disclaims liability for installation.

All orders shipped will take an estimated 7-10 business days. All orders can ship only to the customer billing address unless otherwise approved by DFD.
All delivery dates will have designated delivery window and will be communicated in advance. All delivery dates and times are estimates. We highly recommend that you do not schedule your installer until you have received your product.
Visually inspect the condition and entirety of the shipment, make sure to note missing items or damaged materials. Your invoice lists all the materials and quantities you ordered. You will need to examine the shipment and count each item to make sure everything ordered has been received.
This means that you (or someone able) must be home to take the material from the trailer to your home. The driver will only unload to the curbside and is not allowed to enter your home.
Once unloaded, it is recommended that you store the flooring material in the location where it is to be installed. This will serve two purposes: 1) it will allow the flooring material to acclimate and 2) it will reduce the number of times you will have to move the flooring. Boxes of flooring material can weigh as much as up to 65 lbs. depending on the product.
DO NOT let the driver leave until you have verified the material received is in good condition and that all material has been accounted for. Any damaged or missing items must be noted on your delivery receipt. If not noted, it increases the amount of time required to seek resolution.
We’ll do our best to resolve any concerns you may have regarding the quality of your installation’s workmanship within the applicable warranty period. If we can’t fix the problem, we’ll refund the portion of your purchase price attributable to the defect in workmanship. Your refund may, at our discretion be in the form of a check payment or store credit.

Additional charges may apply to installations if the take-up and removal of carpet or flooring reveal that the type of subfloor structurally required for installation is NOT present at the time of installation. (Additional trip charges will apply if installer returns to customer site to complete installation after initial visit.) If installer discovers water damage, flea infestation, floors with structural damage, asbestos floors, presence of mold or any other physical/environmental hazardous condition, District Floor Depot reserves the right not to proceed with installation until customer has remedied situation AND signed a written Change Order. Please advise the measurer/installer if you are aware of any these conditions. Lastly, delays caused by floods, accidents, or other causes beyond the reasonable control of District Floor Depot may extend additional days for project completion.
