The Affordable Luxury of Maple

Whether you’re going for a Scandinavian style of decor, the clean and contemporary look, or just want a soft background to your home’s interior design, maple wood is an excellent choice. Our Maple Vinyl WPC (wood plastic composite) follows the tradition of the most preferred color for maple in that it mimics the hue of the tree’s sapwood, the layer below the bark, rather than the heartwood, which is the deepest inner part of the trunk. This creamy off-white shade is perfect for bringing more space and dimension to rooms or merely brightening up an area of your home. As a variety of 20 mil vinyl layer with advanced construction, Maple Vinyl WPC is suitable for heavy traffic areas. Since it goes well with both minimalist and mid-century modern decorating styles, it’s no wonder maple has recently gained in popularity.

What Is Wood Plastic Composite Flooring?

Wood plastic composite vinyl flooring is a relatively new addition to the flooring world. This type of engineered hardwood is composed of plastic components and recycled wood pulp, forming a very long-lasting, durable bond. A layer of vinyl (a kind of strong, waterproof plastic) is then laid on top of it. The result is a beautiful, natural-looking floor that mimics solid hardwood but costs half the price and is easier to install.

WPC flooring consists of four layers in total:

  • The first is the core, which is constructed of the recycled wood pulp and plasticizing agents mentioned earlier. It creates an incredibly sturdy, waterproof foundation, yet provides a comfortable surface to walk on.
  • The second layer is vinyl, the plastic substance, which is both durable and easy to clean.
  • The decorative pattern of the floor is placed over the vinyl. In this case, it’s the delicate, maple wood grain in blonde.
  • The final, top section is called the wear layer — a transparent, scratch and stain-resistant topcoat that protects the layers beneath it.

Benefits of Maple Vinyl WPC Flooring

  • WPC flooring is 100% waterproof. Planks won’t swell, warp, or buckle, making flooding the only thing they can’t handle.
  • WPC floor planks click and lock together, making them one of the easiest types of floors to install. Vinyl wood plastic composite is considered a “floating floor,” meaning it doesn’t need to be nailed or glued down with adhesive.
  • Maple Vinyl WPC provides the luxury and aesthetics of natural maple at an affordable price.
  • Although maple is rated as a very tough wood on the Janka scale (a hardness ranking system for natural woods), wood plastic composite is even more robust, making it less prone to scratches or damage.
